Gaining new ground

Coba Plastics – which reportedly offers one of the largest ranges of industrial and commercial floor matting in South Africa – is continuing its growth with the recent acquisition of Rubaloy, an injection moulding business that specialises in the manufacture of recycled rubber interlocking flooring products.

Although it is now a division of Coba, Rubaloy will remain at its current premises in Bellville, Cape Town.

Derek Berold, the present business owner and managing director of Rubaloy, comments: “After having worked in this business for so many years, it’s a pleasure to be able to pass the baton onto the Coba management team.”

Charlene Petzer, finance manager and head of Coba’s South African matting business, adds: “We have appreciated Derek’s openness during the sale. Coba confidently looks forward to building on Derek’s foundations as part of continued growth for this exciting division.”
