OSH Expo 2013 ready to roll
For the third consecutive year, OSH Expo Africa will provide a platform for visitors to keep up with the latest industry developments, source new suppliers and attend educational seminars while networking with industry peers. It is the ultimate meeting place for professionals who are responsible for occupational health and safety management.
“OSH Expo Africa attracts key stakeholders from the occupational safety and health environment, including the mining and manufacturing sectors,” says Charlene Hefer, Event Director, UBM Montgomery, organisers of OSH Expo Africa 2013.
OSH Expo Africa 2013 will take place from June 18 to 20, at Gallagher Convention Centre. Visitors will be in direct contact with a valuable industry network, including local and international suppliers of PPE; occupational safety and health services; safety signs and posters; noise prevention; training; safety consultancies and software solutions.
According to Hefer, the show has attracted a broad range of respected exhibitors, including: NOSA; 3M; AJ Shenade; Honeywell; HSE; LexisNexis; Spiderwebb – as well as the globally recognised health and safety qualifications provider, Nebosh, which recently joined as the show’s official international supporting body.
“In 2012, the show attracted 2 661 visitors, a 21 percent increase on the previous year,” she says. “This year, even more visitors are anticipated as company leaders and senior decision-makers across South Africa now take an increasingly proactive approach to occupational health and safety within their organisations.”
OSH Expo Africa 2013’s special features include: The NOSHEBO Seminar with a line-up of engaging thought leaders, the Emergency Care First Aid demo zone, as well as the NOSA Working at Heights theatre and demo zone.
Running alongside OSH Expo Africa 2013 will be the IOSH Conference, aimed at giving delegates the tools and techniques that will help to build a professional future for health and safety within their organisation.
Supported by a wide spectrum of respected industry bodies – NOSHEBO; SAPEMA; SAIOH; Buildsafe SA; IOSM; and the Safety First Association – this year’s OSH Expo Africa will deliver prime networking and educational platforms, guiding visitors through the latest trends, reviewing important changes in legislation and introducing the most innovative products.
“Safety is everyone’s responsibility,” says Hefer. “OSH Expo Africa puts visitors on the cutting edge of today’s safety solutions,” she concludes.
