Micro alert!

Portable gas detection has come a long way. Its history is comparable to that of the mobile phone, which began life as a cumbersome brick supported by a briefcase-sized battery. A far cry from the small, highly functional device we recognise today.

Just like our functionality-rich mobile phones, today’s portable gas detectors are small, unobtrusive and capable of carrying out a variety of different tasks. With this in mind, BW Technologies by Honeywell has introduced the GasAlertMicroClip XT – which provides impressive protection against environmental hazards, enhanced site safety and incredibly simple ease of use. Customers no longer necessarily have to make a choice between cost and functionality.

GasAlertMicroClip XT is the smallest, lightest and simplest four-gas portable gas detector in its class. It offers superior detection of up to four classes of gases (H2S, CO, O2 and combustibles), without the compromise of dual-sensor technology. The device has one-button operation with an intuitive interface, ensuring that the detector requires minimal training to use. This simplicity helps cut down training costs, ensuring that the device will be used every workday, increasing safety.

The device also features BW Technologies’ acclaimed IntelliFlash, which provides instantly accessible visual indication – to both supervisors and operators – of the device’s compliance to site standards (and ensuring non-compliant devices are easily identifiable). This helps improve operator safety and maximise device compliance on-site.

The GasAlertMicroClip XT places emphasis on getting “more for less”, with no need to choose between affordability and functionality, or invest in high-cost devices.
